Spring Break 2009

(You can scroll down to skip the boring details and just look at the pics!)

This will be short as we just stepped in the door from our trip to California. It's hard to believe that we were able to do so much so fast. We were able to meet up with family in Sacramento and take our nephew Jason with us to Six Flags in Vallejo. After an incredible day of animals and roller coasters we drove back to Sacramento and spent a restful day with Dave, Stacey, Dave's grandma (super cool!) and Jason.

Then on to San Francisco---our favorite city! We were in SF a couple of days and so we did the Pier (Jason and I were both participants in a show), beach, hunting for sand crabs, Chinatown and our usual stuff. We were also able to meet up with Paul, our cousin, who is a big- shot lawyer in the city (downtown office several floors up in one of the skyscrapers). The cool thing about Paul is that he is the same as always---it was so much fun to have dinner with him.

On Tuesday night we had tickets to the Warriors-Clippers game. Troy Corti, a Chico State grad working for the Warriors hooked us up with $48 tix for 15 bucks. When we arrived at the game, Troy found us in our seats in the upper deck and handed us two more tickets. He apologized that they were behind the basket, but thought that we wouldn't mind being up a few rows from the floor in $80 seats. We were obviously grateful and so Cameron and I had a great time at the game (thanks Troy!).

On Wednesday we went to the California Academy of the Sciences to see their new $500 million dollar building. To say it was packed would be an understatement! We briefly went through it and then met Stacey, Jason, Katelyn and Brittney downtown to do the pier again and to show them one of our favorite beaches. We had a blast! Unfortunately our trip came to an end much too quickly, and we left back for Twin. While it's good to be home, we already miss our family and fun in California!

Good seats!

Cameron, pregame

Of course we had to do Lombard!
Collin and I---at a different beach from before...

Six Flags with the elephant.
No one was there that day and so we often did a lot of things with just our family and the staff.
Pretty view from here...not so pretty closer to the bridge
(Baker Beach is a nudist beach toward the bridge...as Sharyl found out)

This picture wouldn't be that cool---except if you look carefully you'll notice that it is just Cameron and I on the entire ride...front row!

We could not get them off of this plane ride!
